To coincide with its IBANG KLASE exhibit on Thursday August 14, Ang Ilustrador ng Kabataan will be holding Illustration Clinic during that same week, August 18, 2 p.m. at the Archaeology Wing, Rockwell Powerplant Mall. Ang INK members Liza Flores and Jordan Santos and guest artists Don Arado and Wilson Tortosa will be giving free and honest professional advice on your illustrations. Ang INK invites all young illustrators from high school to college to receive comprehensive feedback, mentoring, and advice on the techniques, courses, and careers in illustration. You show us your drawings, we'll show you how far you can take yourself.

On its sixteenth year Ang Ilustrador ng Kabataan (Ang INK) grows older and turns over a new leaf with "Ibang Klase!", the theme for this year's annual exhibit. It is Ang I.N.K. members' way of paying tribute to the personalities who peopled and memories that colored their individual high school lives. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * I was listening to Outerhope's album Strangely Paired days ago while doing stuff on the pc when mental images started interrupting my usual lazy-but-I-need-to-work mode. So after months of drawing/painting-only-because-I-have-a-deadline, I finally slipped out of artist's block. I'm happy the way this image turned out, just like I imagined it. Hee.
